Free Educurios Unit: Mining Personal Histories, not ELL specific, but the topic is very pertinent to them. Unit developed to help teaches develop units tied to Common Core standards, with Project-based learning and application of 21st century skills. SEE OTHER SOCIAL STUDIES units using the Literacy Design Collaborative templates.
Khan AcademyLibrary of FREE videos that covers K-12 math, science topics in biology, chemistry, physics,finance and history. The site includes practice activities with access to hints and a record of student progress.
This resource was recommended by Fareed Zakahri on a CNN special on education. 60 Minutes also did a special on this. ELLs can listen to the instruction multiple times and pause as needed.
